Why would someone insist that "alot" is a word and call me a dummy for saying it isn't?

@Gangstress I've just found out someone else has blocked me for correcting him when he gave a song the wrong title. Why do I get blocked for telling the truth about everything?

@Gangstress See, you've made a typo there but I recognise it as such. "Woud" should be "would". I do recognise a genuine typo when I see one, but when I see the same "typo" repeatedly on the same site it makes me wonder if it is a genuine typo.
