Aw man, reporting people for harassment automatically blocks them???

There is a cooling down period after which you can unblock them


It is fair enough tbh .... it avoids the situ whereby someone gets really annoyed and reports all your posts generating a large number of reports against you and it also does remove them from your thoughts if they are pissing you off

Yeah, I don’t like the block after report unless I want to block

I kinda like it. If I feel that strongly about someone’s hurtful remarks it helps me move on from it quicker.

That is for the best. If someone feels the need to report someone then they shouldn't be interacting with them anyway.

But yeah getting admins involved doesn't work out well for anyone.
Kind of like real life when we have problems with someone. Getting higher ups involved just makes things worse.

I imagine on here they do it so they don't KEEP getting reports every time the same people decide to bicker about stuff.

I think you may have discovered a way to ease up on my block quota. 👍

It is unfortunate, and I disagree with the administrators for making that the case. However, there is a workaround.

If you first block the person (you will need to do this in a new tab), you are free to report the offending comment and then unblock them.
