What have you learned from being here at SW? Feel free to share. Or inflict.

1. There are great people here. You might have to look with the Hubble telescope, but you'll find them.

2. On the other side of the coin, there are people here who are too damaged or broken to be a real friend. Some of them are the worst fake phony frauds of them all, singing your praises for one minute, then blocking you with no explanation the next. Best not to take it too personally. Block their asses right back.

3. Everyone has a place here. You can even fit in by not fitting in. Yes, it's true.

I have learned you really can’t waste your mental energy on the people who are just going to hate and be negative. There’s no changing them or convincing them otherwise. I’d much rather invest my time on quality people which there are many of on here.

@lovelychicadee We only have so much time in life, and the more we understand this, I'd like to think more don't waste time this way. I think you know I'll say you don't, and I hope you'll say I don't, but really I do in a different way.
Maturebate · 70-79, M
@lovelychicadee YOu are right. THere are some here who are delusional or twisted so you have to forget them and move on and dont let them suck the emotional energy from you.
Tennessee is better than Alabama….. 1985 is the best year if you’re thinking about goin back in time…… A lot of people are still obsessed with Donald Trump.

When I joined SW, my main intention was to learn and listen. To listen to people, and to learn about their mindsets. It's interesting to see that people with a point of view complete different from mine may be right, and I may be wrong.
I don't take this place that seriously. I just come here to pass time.

@Spoiledbrat I'm glad you pass a lil time with me now and then❤️

There are people from all walks of life on here and for a brief moment I got a glimpse into people's lives. Beneath it all, whether they project hate or kindness or whatever else, everyone is just seeking connection. A connection that often people are too damaged to have or preserve.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
There are a lot of people suffering from emotional problems of one kind or another.

I’ve learned to appreciate a lovely moment and not expect it to be more than that.

I’ve learned how narrow my perspective has been most of my life and how much I would have missed had I not been open to expanding it, even if it’s not all sunshine and roses.

I’ve learned that isolation isn’t as safe and cozy as it would have some of us believe and that inspiration is right there just waiting for you to crack that door.

I’ve learned that there’s balance to be found, and you can complain about one side and let it blind you to the other, or you can delight in one side and acknowledge the other. Both sides exist, but one demands more of your energy.

I’ve learned that there are treasures in a melting pot.
@JustNik You've learnt enough.

I've learned or maybe it was reinforced, that any little thing at all can and will be misconstrued, dramatized and beaten like a dead horse, lol. And that "a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest".

i learned how to pick a male eggplant for eggplant with less seeds from @saragoodtimes, and how to know when an avocado is ripe :)
Driver2 · M
@Penny yes you did
Sutten · 36-40, F
People come and go, don't become attached and don't take it personal or allow it to affect your mental health.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
I’ve really only met very nice people, so it’d hard for me to comment otherwise.
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
it's nice here if you've filtered the adult content. :3
1) All sorts of creeps crawl out of the woodwork when you mention "submissive" - I'm a submissive, not a fool.

2) This place is more tolerant of some healing methods than others.

3) all you have to do to be an "Idiot" is meet someone who has a closed mind.
ImRileyTheDog · 22-25, F
I learned what smegma is
I haven't learned much from my time here. I agree with your second point 100% but tbh I learned simliar lessons offline.

This isnt the place for anything meaningful. Even the meaningless stuff can be shit.
SmoothKnight · 51-55, M
To be very selective with who I friend. I've had some bad experiences here, but to my embarrassment it's been mainly my own fault.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@SmoothKnight well you got me babe...😄
SmoothKnight · 51-55, M
@akindheart

I know...and I treasure your friendship...

You got me too 😘
Saintweezer · 36-40, M
Your experiences may be innocuous to you, but they can seriously upset others. It’s important to think before sharing
kodiac · 22-25, M
Not to put my expectations on people so i can't be disappointed. To accept what they show me be it real or fake.
looks in the telescope 🌌 finds uncalled4!!!
akindheart · 61-69, F
It made me a very good judge of character
scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M

Just because somebody is spreading false rumors about you, it doesn't mean anybody is stupid enough to believe them.
MethDozer · M
Not a single solitary damn thing
