Sign of the times, basically. People are generally getting ruder and cruder in real life. It's even worse on social media because the anonymity gives people the sense that they can act out and not face any serious consequences.

It's just a microcosm of the real world I guess 😕

They exist everywhere, of course. But with the anonymity of the internet, some folks check their manners at the door. 🙄

I don't think that in the physical world they are.

Probably it's manners slippage when the insular distance and nature of the web in general are at play.

Then there's the bots ayk infamously nasty.

That is likely apparent on every social site. I have wonderful friends here and rarely hear from rude/crude members.
