I just noticed we no longer see downvotes given to us unless we have VIP....

@AdaXI hmm, I don't see anything about a topic in that menu. Only that specific post and the user. 🤔 And we agree on the upsetting people, but that wouldn't ever have happened if you couldn't ever see them. That's the effect of the displaying, not because of the downvoting itself. But you have a good day too.

@NerdyPotato I just looked and my apologies I will concede I got that bit wrong. I mean muting a topic does exist I ain't lying to you about that, but granted it's in the 'blocked Users' area. The flag has 'block user' which directly blocks rather opening up the whole block mute area where the mute topics actually is. I still don't believe topics are directly affected by the downvote though, so it makes sense why it isn't located there to me personally...

Look I know people have strong views about the downvote and people fall over it all the time but at the end of the day I don't really mean to get annoyed or p!ssed off about it, doesn't change a great deal arguing over it, it is what it is love x x x

@Punches @SW-User Along with the down vote is also the admission we no longer really choose whose posts and comments we see. It's their features now directing who we see or don't see... people they feel we may have problems with.... and I lost a lot of people I normally saw...and liked!!!

@SW-User I often say that it's probably better to pay attention more to the conversations rather than who's posting but I do agree that there are certain posters that we just enjoy more than others. And it sucks when we don't get to see their post without having to dig through their profile.

@HootyTheNightOwl I do not have VIP anymore and refuse to play the game. Two downvotes will mean nothing when Tuesday arrives.

@SW-User You don't have to like it... none of us do (in one way or another) - but we have to live with it.

One good thing is that it might decrease the overall activity of downvoters, since VIP's can hide their status - thus meaning that virtually anyone of us could be a "hidden VIP" who will know when they get downvoted.

@HootyTheNightOwl I don't like it and it won't matter after Monday for me. One VIP can overtake another by hiding. It's a shit show.

@smiler2012 I usually tell the person in a comment. If you have a strong opinion, it shouldn't be hard to stand behind it. A downvote is the start of hiding a person's content... which means lowering the person's reputation.

@SW-User Yeah totally agree and the only truly fair is if it's visible to everyone as the majority voted for on that flipping post they made. (Must of thought that was really cute too, we'll ask users what they want then just ignore the result and do what we wanted to do anyway, baha!)

I mean now if that one's correct and users can't even see it anymore then all I need to do is make say 10 accounts and go around downvoting people's post I don't like until it vanishes and they'll never even know...

Unless, they buy VIP... Oh wait think the pennies just dropped. I have to spend money for this 'privilege' I see, must think we were all born yesterday.🙄
