Why do people on SW post questions in random categories that have nothing to do with the post?

@SW-User Most people I know in real life like everything to be organised. Most of us don't want everything all over the place.

@SW-User Not now, maybe, but they have been at one time or another. There were nearly half a million here when I first joined and that was 5 years ago.
