I think another reason is because some member's constant self-pity gets tiresome. It's like the have the world by the curly hairs yet they are still unhappy.

@Alfred22 Thank you for reading my contributions to the site.
Why do I stay? In fact I can't say I "stay", because I've never even considered leaving this lovely place.
Although I have to say there's a certain "sameness" to the site. Things never really change. It's just that people come and go, but helenS stays put.
