While the planet has survived the Trump trainwreck, I'm not sure I'd say America is back, unfortunately. To me, America has always been the voice of its middle class and the innovation of a people free from a stifling centralised government. That really isn't the case today, the Biden administration will launch initiatives in an effort to help, but so often a big dumb government effort just helps consolidate even more power to the super wealthy. There's no party of limited government anymore

Maybe that is the biggest crime Trump committed against the American people. His normalization of rule by Twitter decree and his billionaire stock buyback administration nuked the last few Republicans who voted against government expansion, and firmly ushered in an era where the only voices left are the giants vs the giants.
