I believe that, in the United States, it is only practised in small, insular pockets of imported culture or religion. Some orthodox Jewish communities have been known to try to practice it, and some pockets of Indian and Muslim culture living here also attempt to practice it.

@Miram 😲 I had to look that one up. I forgot about the LDS fundamentalists. Of course, they are an embarrassment to the Mormons, who made it illegal for them to practice polygamy in the state of Utah. That's why they move to places like Mexico, or buy up a ton of land and then don't allow anyone in. (I watched that show on television "Escaping Polygamy").

@Miram Defo. Really looked awful on television, didn't it? Young girls married to their old Uncles who were really pedophiles. The Jeffery Epsteins of the LDS fundamentalists. I also heard on television that Jeffrey Epstein had a huge mansion and had plans to impregnate very young girls and start a baby farm. He had made extensive inquiries about genetics and medical information related to that...apparently he wanted to raise up a new race without genetic birth defects...sort of a Pedophile Hitler, but he felt that HE should be the father of this new race...all white, all blonde.
