how do I respond to private messages on here?

I can't work it out.

I've found the reply box, but after I've finished typing a reply, there is no option to send it

@SW-User You seem to know the ropes here. May I ask you how to highlight a sentence in a post to quote in my reply to the poster? For example, if I were to reply to you, I normally would do this:
