About 85% questions 10% stories/poems/prose and 5% who knows what to call it. 🤷🏻‍♂️😆

I do have a little bit of all of that. Just not weighted towards questions.

For me, before I came here I used to use Yahoo Answers. So once I learned of the place shutting down I got some screen shots, was answering questions, and kept seeing people saying, come to Similar Worlds! So I figured, well I'm going to need a new place to go to, let me check out this Similar Worlds. It has coined itself as being the replacement for Yahoo Answers, so I've made this my Yahoo Answers website.

But there's a nice little addition. On Yahoo Answers the format was, you can ONLY ask and answer questions. Then if someone answered your question, you could leave a comment, but then they took that away. It was a way to communicate with the responder. And that's one addition I like here. You can ask a question, get replies and just be able to keep going back and forth with dialogue.

The other nice addition here is that you can write about anything that's on your mind. So not only is it a Q&A site, it's write your own story, website. So I use it for a bit of everything. Ask questions, or just write about something on my mind etc.

This is a place where you can post anything you like

The most common things are people just on and off between life events for anywhere as long as minutes to hours

People come here to vent, question, discuss, mess around. It's a mixed park with more to offer than twitter's one and done tweet system.

I like the very lighthearted environment although sometimes I wish people would take some things more seriously when people post something very personal, but it beats a very dead and stressful environment any day.

All in all, it is a pretty functional app/website with just a really small platform for now, so the userbase is small (making it kinda hard to come across any large number of a specific group or type of people)

But honestly, the features are great :)
I enjoy the features SW has to offer as a platform and sometimes it is comforting to just share, knowing not many will know.

It's whatever you wish to use it for, write stories and or ask questions, post links, music, photos, etc. Rant and or just engage or observe.

My personal opinion would be, close your eyes and remember a Western movie....that one in which some character on horse back or arriving in a wagon, cruises down through mainstreet looking either way.....people walking here and there, people walking on boardwalks.....assorted shops lining each side of the street selling wares and goods...oh, and of course, that blacksmith shop at the end of any street....women with parasols, stage coach drivers, shop owners, card sharks, gunslingers, farmers at the hard ware store....
That may be part of the multi-faceted dichotomy here.

it's more or less mostly what you want it to be. although some topics are much more favored than others. and a few things are totally off the tables, but I doubt you're asking about that sort of thing.

It's a place to meet new enemies.

It's an all inclusive kind of deal where you can post what you want, follow whoever you want and follow forums and groups within your interests, for example story writing. Welcome to SW! Don't let the bedbugs bite.

Most stories here are short but you can post longer ones. Most don’t post stories at all but I find that sad so feel free to post

People use the "Post" thread to ask questions. They use the Forums threads to post stories, etc.

You can do whatever you want to do. I’ve seen stories posted. Have fun post whatever you like.

A little of anything! I dont ask questions, I just post my thoughts etc as a way to get them out.

Hadn’t seen many stories, but I’ve seen poems. And yeah lots of questions and a whole truckload or rants. Lol
