Is this place mostly asking questions, or do people use it to write stories or posts in general
Posts that aren't necessarily asking for advice or questions in general, just kind of like a place to get thoughts out?

it's more or less mostly what you want it to be. although some topics are much more favored than others. and a few things are totally off the tables, but I doubt you're asking about that sort of thing.
