Lol, I'm obsessed with my teeth and making sure I keep them all. Even as a child I brushed and flossed obsessively. In the process I caused him inflammation which in turn makes your gums recede and pockets to form around the roots. I also crunch ice and grind my teeth at night which adds to it as well as the original alignment of my teeth. Anyhow if the pockets get too deep you have to see a special dentist. I didn't want to continue and risk losing my teeth so I was looking for ways of reversing. The coconut oil has antiseptic properties and it kills the bacteria in your mouth and allows it to heal quicker. I didn't and don't like the taste but I can't deny that it has helped my gums heal.

I use it on my skin sometimes but usually take a spoonful a day, it is helpful in a multitude of ways including keeping the Achille's tendonitis symptoms at bay....I learned that by accident when I was taking it for some other reason...and it is helpful for the immune system too. I cook with it sometimes, made curried sweet potatoes last week, with a little coconut oil and cream of coconut.

Is it good for the skin?

I massage my scalp and rub it well into my hair and give my face a good scrub with it too, I've been doing this for years and have a good healthy head of hair and no dandruff etc.
I'm in my 60s and I don't have wrinkles. My hands (which apply the oil) have no creases or cracks.

It's great for dry skin, especially your feet.

I don't like it on my skin. I'ts too heavy for my hair. It is quite tasty in coffee but that's only for that bullet coffee thing and I don't need to be any fatter.

It is just like swishing your mouth with pre-rinse. It just tastes like coconut instead of mint. I really think it works beause I started doing it about 2 years ago because of deep pockets. And now 2 years later I no longer have that problem and the oil pulling is the only thing I changed.
