because your agreement is false and seems like you're merely placating them that's why. it's not "genuine" it's pretty much lying for the sake of being "nice." if you disagree, there ARE ways to say so without being nasty or rude. but to merely agree just because seems almost patronizing.
i've had people here argue with me for agreeing with them, moreso because of lack of comprehension of what i've said, and because tone is a thing poorly gauged online. but what you're doing isn't helping. i see why your father is frustrated, and i agree with him.

Because if you agree with the person or people. On everything (even when you actually don't agree with them in your head). Then it makes you look like, that you don't have any opinions of your own. On whatever said topic or discussion or whatever is said
