Of course it is. The majority of circumcisions are done on newborn baby boys who have absolutely no say in the matter. All we need to do is reverse the situation and see what people think about it.
Why would it be barbaric to do to little girls, but okay for boys?
Another big reason is for religious reasons and it's done when the boy is older. It's still done out of brainwashing and not for valid reasons.
There are absolutely no valid reasons for circumcision. Some will claim that it is healthier and more hygienic, but these are the very same people who are choosing circumcision.
Meanwhile, in the rest of the world where circumcision isn't even given as an option at the hospital, we are just shaking our heads at the absurdity that such a butchery is allowed to take place.

@NineLives: I agree, it shouldn't be done at all, not for boys and not for girls. but there are two aspects to consider too: circumcising a girl often means that don't just cut the skin but the clit too, what would be like cutting like the glans of penis! 😱
sometimes, boys have a really terrible phimosis. then, if the doctor doesn't cut some skin, how could the boys penis ever grow? and men with too small penis are really handicapped and these poor guys will maybe stay without a woman for their lifetime.
but normally, circumcision should not be necessary and therefore not be done

yes, especially since most of the time the owner isn't consenting to that shit
Thodsis · 51-55, M
Yes. The issue of consent is important though. If somebody wants to get their foreskin cut off then whoop-de-doo. It's their cock.
Choice matters though. Babies aren't known for making wise choices.

It used to be routine in the US for males but people are getting away from that. And it is never acceptable for females. ewwww
ForeverOnMyGuard · 22-25, F
Definitely. Why would any parent say they love their son and he's perfect and then PAY to do that?
Malina · 56-60, F
According to my hippie child birth class, it is mutilation. Absolutely no reason for it.
IchBin2 · 22-25, M
Yes. Stay away from my foreskin, Jew.
Kingfish · 31-35, M
@IchBin2: This may be the best answer.

Yes just a social accepted form

@Firespirit: I once did think too that it's a good idea because clean etc. but then I did read testimonies of men who have been circumcised when they were already grown-up and told about loss of feelings (one did describe it like wearing a glove) and that's not ok in my opinion. men deserve to have unbounded sexual pleasure like women.
