Why do you think the rates of teen depression and suicide are out of control now?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention this month reported that suicide rates among American middle school students – those aged 10 to 14 – were higher than rates of death from motor vehicle crashes in that age group.
What is causing this new epidemic?

Cause for the last few decades people have been raised to have unrealistic expectations about what makes then successful and it gets shoved in our faces everyday how much better off other people are, whether it's financial, looks or whatever. Society is basically set up to make most people feel like failures in some sense.

I like this answer and I agree with a lot that you have to say. There is now so much pressure on kids that didn't exist when I was younger. I see it with my own teen daughters.
When I was young, porn was not easily accessible to the boys. They might have been lucky if they stole a porn mag or two from their dad, but that is about it. Now at the click of a button, all of these young kids can see whatever their heart desires.
It's not right that these kids are growing up far before their time. There is so much pressure for them to be like how all of these things on the Internet and social media, etc. portray. It is just too much for them to handle! 😕
