Can technology advance much further ( in terms of computers) than it already has

That depends on how you define it, on the hardware side we seem to be (Indefinitely, but still) on the brink of quantum computing which would change everything, in the meanwhile they're still getting ever smaller and more cores integrated. And on software, yes, in it's infancy though of course there's concern it will grow up to a Strong AI after which pretty much everything ceases to matter (In good, or bad) but I have trouble believing in that viewpoint.

On the other hand, while the argument becomes somewhat circular, I believe there's quite high chance we're living inside a simulation, in which case we should be looking forward to being able to create simulations indistinguishable from our current reality. So I think that is one likely endpoint of computer technology development.

It's advanced quite a lot from the days before the internet began.

Maybe the future will be something like those Terminator movies lol

Artificial intelligence; faster computational power; 3D simulation.
Probably a lot more to come !

Of course 😊 This is just the start

yes , next step VR Technology and Special VR Goggles and Gloves to Fly through the Internet with , your Pupils will guide the way , saw a wrist worn display before , that was Kool !
I think computers are still in the infant stage

Lol, if computers are in the infant stage, what stage were they at before the internet even existed?

Computers are likely going to be around for the rest of humanity's existence in some form or another. A few decades is nothing.

I think so don't you?
TheDudeLebowski · 31-35, M
Oh sure, it will ..... but it's already advanced so much ....
