Lots of angry people in here

Sometimes it's okay to be angry, but some of the posts in here telling why some are angry don't make sense.

Thinking SW needs to issue Xanax lollipops....

People today are just angry. No patience, no sense of calm, in today's world it's, "get the **** out of my way" people can't be bothered to stop for anything for 2 seconds anymore.

And I strongly believe this advancement we've made in technology, is the reason. Look at all the things we have right at our fingertips. Amazon, want something? Just order it on Amazon, got a question, just ask Google and there's your answer, you remember a scene from a movie and want to see it again or let's watch (insert movie name here) just go to YouTube. It's like anything you want or need, it's here right when you need it.

It's not like it was 40 years ago. And how was it then? People had patience, people were nice and friendly with each other. And it's such a shame we are where we are.

@ProfessorPlum77 I prefer a place where people are friendly to strangers and people in general. It was better before COVID. Now that things are the way they are, I don't know when things will get back to normal.

I remember people saying COVID is the "new normal". I hope not. That will be sad.

@perceptivei Yes to "a friendly place."
I am not sure how much society was changed by Covid.

@Ksonnier Manipulation.
This anger, is very real. It is also something that has been carefully crafted and created for the last 30 years. Not for any high-minded purpose, nor some nefarious conspiracy. It’s just that we learned that anger sells, and it’s the easiest thing to sell. Anger is the child of fear and when you encounter somebody angry? Ask yourself what do they fear.

I don't normally feel angry (unless I'm drinking and mad about something in particular). I get pretty sad/depressed though.

I will be one of those casting away that med cup bud. I get torqued here for sure on occasion but.....directionally, I have also met some cool others as well. What it comes down to is perspective once that mortar has hit your position.
You either lie in the mud wailing or, you stagger to yer feet and adjust the baseplate and elevation. It's that simple.
Be wounded and wail or be a bloody somebody and git yer arse in gear......Carry on.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I haven’t noticed that today or maybe I am just used to it
perceptivei · 36-40, F
