Officially 66 for a man, soon be 67, but I am well past that and still working. The UK is struggling to find a good road, the NHS is dying, taxes are going up and the younger generation are paying the price.

65. It should be 60.

I function just fine
But I'm tired of working and body is also
We each have different needs
I'm only working because i don't have any other means of paying the bills

@pdockal There are options. Sharing a home. Other ways of creating income. You sound unhappy and depressed. I cannot offer more.

Your not offering much except to say retirement should be 60 because it fits you

Around 64 but probably not for long.

@CrazyMusicLover The impression I'm getting is that by the time we'll be old the concept of "retirement" will only be a memory of the past
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Elessar I've been hearing that since I was 20 and I've always thought to myself: "Bold of you to assume this country will still even exist by time time we're old."

Whatever age you have enough money not to have to work
SarithBorn · 18-21, M

I think I'll have to wait til I'm 68 to get the state pension but they'll probably raise it several times before then so, possibly.......92?.......😆😆😆🙄

It used to be 65. They keep pushing UP the age at which most folks can retire and collect their full social security benefits.
UndercoverBard · 31-35, M
65 is the usual right now but by the time I get there I wouldn’t be surprised if no one can afford to retire anymore
Nanori · F
You just gotta have work insurance for 25 years then you can retire

@Stereoguy Can you apply to Social Services for supplements? There are food banks. Churches offer programs to help seniors. Have you explored these options? Even communities have organizations to help. I am spiritual. Please try what I suggest. There is assistance out there. I know you are doing the best you can.
