65. It should be 60.

@PoetryNEmotion should be 55
@pdockal No. 60 is reasonable. By 60. One has worked long and hard. Physical health starts to change. And one is becoming tired. I was great until 59. Then things started changing.

@PoetryNEmotion depends on the job
My physical health started changing @ 40
I'm already tired and body is beat up
@PoetryNEmotion I always thought it should be based on full time employment. The poor sap who starts working at 18 is probably burned out by the time they reach their 50's. They should have a 40 year FTE rule.

Also, they tempt people to work longer with larger monthly, and over the long haul, say if you live to 75, you lose out $$. Actually, retiring at 62 is the best deal, as long as you can afford health care and not work 3 years because if you go over a certain amount they'll penalize you.
@pdockal You are in the minority then. Perhaps you can be considered disabled? Look into that. Each of us is tired. Find a way to sing. Literally and figuratively. Keep moving. See a doctorvfor bloodwork and follow-up. Pracise a healthy lifestyle. Depressed? That is all I have for you.
@BrewCityBarfly I have worked full-time hours but not at full time postings. They do not pay benefits.

Money cannot be the most vital factor. I left a career due to knee problems and bullshit. I make considerably less. I am happier. My life has always been lived simply. I retire on time when I reach 65.

@PoetryNEmotion
I function just fine
But I'm tired of working and body is also
We each have different needs
I'm only working because i don't have any other means of paying the bills
@pdockal There are options. Sharing a home. Other ways of creating income. You sound unhappy and depressed. I cannot offer more.

@PoetryNEmotion
Your not offering much except to say retirement should be 60 because it fits you
