Eat, sleep, watch movies, listen to music, read, bring magazines or puzzle books to work on…if you are lucky you will be seated next to someone who is friendly and will have some chats, that helps a lot to pass the time.

I just watched films/tv and slept on my flights (which were about 20 hours in total). I wouldn't consider the cost of 1st class worthwhile - for my flight I think that was about £15k compared with about £1.2k that I paid.

Read a book. Write a book if you've got a laptop, or even just a pad of paper. Watch a movie — or perhaps an entire TV series or two. Nap. Play a game. Strike up conversations with the other passengers.
