@SW-User what methods do u have for alleviating pain or inflamation?
SW-User
@Dan193 For inflammation - I cut off foods that cause inflammation to begin with and then I add natural herbs and foods that are anti inflammatory. Like Turmeric. Like Oregano oil. Etc. There are a lot more.
For pain, depending on where it is - say head - I'll use a topical pain balm, oregano oil ingested, and I use acupressure on myself.
That kind of thing.

That's how people get hooked on heroin my friend
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@MyNameIsHurl I feel like thats too dangerous to even try it
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@Dan193 yeah, you don’t just “try” heroin
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I hate to break it to you, my friend, but if those pills are potent enough to mask the pain of your wisdom tooth extraction, they aren't harmless.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@LordShadowfire that makes sense actually, thanks. I've been feeling more sleepy than usual these days.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Dan193 I'm not saying you're necessarily addicted, but those things can be. Be careful, buddy.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@LordShadowfire thank you
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
Harmless?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@DeluxedEdition daaamn, thats some serious stuff. Thanks for telling me
LegendofPeza · 56-60, M
@Dan193 ' I didnt know it was that close related to heroin'
It's the same thing ; codeine = morphine = heroin

@LegendofPeza heroin is easier for ppl to get their paws on once docs stop giving them pills

Last time I travelled by plane I felt sick – from the air turbulence I think. On the way home I took a pill for nausea 30 minutes before takeoff and I was just fine the whole time.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@SW-User thanks

Pain killers killed my grandpa cause he got addicted to them unfortunately
This makes me wanna smoke my weed 😆 💋
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@BrokenAbyss sorry 😆
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I avoided painkillers for years but now I learned to use them as anti-inflammatory meds.
Valerian extract pills are fine too, even if nowhere as effective as bromazepam. I haven't taken a bromazepam pill for years.

Dan193 · 31-35, M
@CrazyMusicLover I took valerian too before, for migranes. Thanks
Fluffybull · F
@CrazyMusicLover Valerian shouldn't be taken by anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding or who has glaucoma or liver disease. Even "alternative" remedies have risks
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Fluffybull Thank you for the warning. I read the leaflet but only remember that you shouldn't drive after taking it. 🙈 Yes, supplements are not candies.
robingoodfellow · M
I suffered a serious injury once and was prescribed. I think I took them for 2 or 3 days, then swore them off and just dealt with the pain. Too many horror stories associated with them.
robingoodfellow · M
@LordShadowfire these addictive pills are thrown around like tic tacs but non-addictive marijuana is a big controversial deal.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@robingoodfellow Ugh, I know. Give me some Wyld edibles before prescribing another round of Vicodin.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@robingoodfellow mine arent giving me a high or anything, just takes away the pain almost instantly after taking them. Also makes me very sleepy.
SethGreene531 · M
After dental surgery I was high as a kite and happy as a clam, had the best sleep of my life.
Babbled on about dental equipment moving by themselves, while the kind nurse humored me.

@SethGreene531 sounds awesome and scary at the same time
SethGreene531 · M
@Dan193Mostly from anesthesia, but a little Percocet. It underscored the potency of prescrip. drugs.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@SethGreene531 oh I see

Nothing is harmless. Opiates can be very addictive and cause alot of issues. I worked in a pharmacy for 13 years. Many of my customers were addicts and I saw painkillers lead to death for a few of them, all decent normal people who enjoyed popping pills( legally). All had some legitimate pain at some point but became increasingly dependent on those little pain killers.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@Dan193 Depends on the type of pain and if it is short term or long term. Somethings won't work on certain types of pain. Pain pills are OK in moderation for the short term but should be avoided in older folks. I saw Drs just write these prescriptions willy nilly and I saw some people become quickly very addicted and some of them didn't realize that they were addicted screaming at us for more pills.
Other non narcotic methods are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, topical pain relievers, massage, heat/cold but non of these worklike narcotics.

Both valium and codeine only made me sick. Not high. I just collapsed on the floor. Clary sage made me strangely giddy once. And Ibuprofene can have a more powerful effect if the pain has been intense.
Kratom. It’s legal most places and have an opioid effect.
Both. It’s legal in many countries and states. Most states, if you’re in the US, have very little regulation. You can find bottles at gas stations. @Dan193
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@666Maggotz also the other day I was surprised to find out that the legal age for consent can be 16 in a ton of U.S states. I thought it was 18 everywhere.
Yup. In Nj, where I’m from, it’s 16 but only up until 3 years older. “Romeo and Juliet laws”.@Dan193

LegendofPeza · 56-60, M

@LegendofPeza mamas lil helper
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
That's not harmless, people commit suicide with pain killers.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@MartinTheFirst yeah, but they take a lot at once
SW-User
Eh, enjoy no.... The whole thing with pills is is you build up an immunity to them in your system so if you actually really needed a pain killer for something extreme, maybe the usual dose will do nothing for you,
and then slowly but surely you can end up addicted, it happens quite easily tbh, I've seen so many stories of otherwise intelligent people whom end up hooked on otc pills

@SW-User I hear stuff on the internet too, but I've never seen it myself irl. Maybe they're just good at concealing it.
