Yes. I have written posts about stuff noone knows about irl. That's why I'm here in the first place.

I'd be a little freaked out. I trust very few friends with knowing much of my childhood. Because I don't trust most of them to care enough to abide by my wishes over very private information. They'd spill the tea and rumours would roll from one person to the next. I'd be very sleepless the rest of my life. For me this was a a safe place to share things I couldn't. I don't want or need my life upended over the past. And I don't want the problem of other's lives being upended by the drama and the troubles of that. Sometimes the truth should just stay buried. I just want peace and to never see (I'll settle for extremely rarely) a certain family member ever again.

Worst case scenario, I suppose my husband and I could always move away to another country and never communicate with most family and friends again. We'd live and figure it out.

That person could be a big gossip and barf those details to others. In which case my anonymity is blown.
I might still delete and leave. At that point the disgust with people would be too much.

A few years ago I would have done just that and panicked. But now I'm not so sure. These days I'd probably ask them to just keep to themselves.

People who jump up and make a big clamor and delete their account are the people who have been disingenuous and got exposed. At least that is my observation.

I kinda had that happen. They told me my address. And some bullshit about how they got it. They mentioned my kids, they got angry ..... i freaked out.
Shut down my account .
They then started messaging me on my phone days later, threatened me and my family. It was awful.
But then i got my head on straight and started calling people and gov. departments etc.
Plus , i went over everything they wrote.
Eventually worked out it was someone i was close to. VERY CLOSE .

They say over 90% of stalkers are people you already know, or are in your social circle somehow.

I made this account.

But i reopened my old one as a lure to detect any new activity of my stalker . It worked. They came back a few times with different usernames and id block them on this one .

Now i dont care .

Some people are just fucked up, sick in the head and arent worth you stressing about them .
Most stalkers are cowards, its why they stalk in the first place.🤷‍♀️
