If small pieces of gravel get into a garbage disposal, will it break it, ruin it?

Or grind down and be ok??

Do you have a vacuum with hose attachment? Is the gravel causing the disposal to lock up or get stuck?! Is it stuck now?
If so, the best way to free it up is the little silver ish looking tool. It is bent on both ends. Basically it's a hex wrench,a six sided thingy. 😁 and it fits in a hex shaped hole dead center underneath. You don't have to lay down unless you just want to see it. You can feel it and put the tool into that hole and try to turn it counterclock wise. This till it's often lost right away but if you're the kind that holds onto stuff because you know it goes somewhere then it is probably in your junk drawer. You can turn it either way. I said it that way because the machine runs clockwise.
Next best tool it's a wit wooden handle broom. Just stick it in from the top, bristle end up, at a slight angle(whatever it allows) and push or pull on it, more like a yank and usually it'll move it. Pretty easily.
Eventually the gravel will grind down and pass with other product already in. Safety first-just be aware that the little rock could get thrown right out. I'm just saying don't bend over it to stare in you can stand straight up and see into it a little flashlight might be handy.
It's a plumbers job typically but most tradesmen if they have a year experience will not call in another trade just for that. Plumbers charge from 85.00 and up. They are so expensive that they actual charge by the 15(1/4) hour. Electricians too. Carpenters are usually cheapest because we have to know everybody's trade to build for their necessary tolerances it codes. It's opposite or upside down. I'm not even trying and can't help the sarcasm here. If you live in a house one of your closest neighbors travel wise can probably spare five minutes to help. Most people, I have found don't mind sharing what they know. It's and show off time. Look what I can do... If you want to try I'll trade pictures and talk you through it. It took longer to write all this down than the job itself. Especially if you are a find and peck typer.
