My mom and I's friend said that she was told she and her husband's 25th wedding anniversary didn't count because they don't have kids, lol.

It’s stupidity like this that has lead to there being 8 billion+ people on planet earth!! Their wedding anniversary is a celebration of them being together, of their union, not a celebration of their ability to procreate.

Well that’s very strange as she is you mom! Unless it’s with your stepdad that she doesn’t have children but if you are married there is no obligation to have children so let them celebrate their 25th
