i was taking a large chicken pot pie out of the oven , when the tin foil plate folds on me and the pie slips

outta my hands and lands on the open oven door all messed up and i'm like oh FFS , i swear this shit only happens to me

Should have slipped a real plate underneath it before you pulled it all the way off the racks. Those foil containers are flimsy.

Using a cookie sheet can only help you for such things. Just keep it in the oven. Even with TV dinners it helps.
