Should I buy a coworker I dont really talk to a grieving gift?

There was a terrible, hate crime - related shooting that resulted in the death of her family member (alongside other familes, double digit death toll)

Obviously she isnt doing well, so I've heard.

Is it appropriate to get her flowers, card, and bag of hersbye kiss chocolate? If so what shpuld I write in the card?
