What is the Significance of Snap Streaks?

It just seems like wasted time and meaningless interaction only to increase some number that means what? I believe that it promotes quantity over quality in terms of human interaction, and that's saying something when people will send you one picture of their wall per day or a message that you know was sent to many others just to keep this number up. The amount of times I've opened messages only to see pictures of walls with the letter "s" scrawled hastily onto them is maddening.

I don't know about you, but I'm the kind of person that craves meaningful relationships and conversations. I believe it's contrary to our human nature to seek anything less than this. Attempting to fill this void with anything less than it demands still leaves us empty.
