I would remind them they are committing Insurance fraud and if they charge you you will act accordingly “report them to the government for committing insurance fraud and charging you for an appointment when the office was closed that day”

I would also remind them by neglecting their duties regarding your heart attack is neglect and abuse and you can report them to the board of your state for neglect and abuse

Also if you can switch doctors do it ( I know some places have unrealistically long waiting times for new patients) and leave some honest reviews

@BeastK You're quite right standing up for yourself. When we thought my husband's skin cancer came back the doctor wouldn't even give him an appointment until I bullied the receptionist into giving me the email address to send photos to. Then the doctor told me I shouldn't have done that so she got a curt email! He got an appointment that week and is now being treated 👍. You do what you have to do. 💪

@BeastK You are not the bad guy in this. You were given an appointment on that day, you went to it and seen that they were not there. I would have been very upset myself about that. Maybe you should report those people for doing you like that.

Sorry to hear that, I wouldn't know what to do in that situation as I still have some fear of confrontation.

I guess my best advice is to be assertive but calm.
