Have you ever cheated or thought about cheating while in a relationship?

@Theonlyone: Just what I personally believe, but I can see it from the other point of view as well. Sometimes people get caught up in emotions and don't think rationally and can't help but do things even if they know it's wrong. Everyone makes mistakes. While I've never cheated or thought of cheating I've probably done things just as bad while being in a failing relationship. When relationships aren't working people tend to have a lack of judgement.

@NaturallyPeculiar: also if you have been with someone a long time and have a house and family, and if the relationships abusive it can be hard to leave. Cheating can be a release

@NaturallyPeculiar: You are right about the being caught up in emotions part. I cheated on my boyfriend with my friend who started to like me. I had fallen so hard for him. I kept telling myself, "This is only going to happen once, then never again, I don't have to worry." It made me feel better. But I wasn't right for what I did.

What was the reason behind you cheating? I'm curious. Was it because you felt caged?

@TheUnknown: Kind of...I just wanted someone else. We didn't live near each other, I was catching feelings for a friend of mine and he was starting to like me as well. Me and my boyfriend broke up because I didn't want to cheat. Me and my friend fooled around, but then he convinced me I should get back together with my ex. We did date again...but I ended up wanting my friend so badly that I ended up cheating.

So while you were with hi, you looked at other guys, even imagined being with them instead of your partner?

Yeah. He was probably doing the same. I mean, I'm hideous and I don't blame him.
