Extraterrestrial life, yes. Intelligent extraterrestrial life...possibly, but not very likely. And if it does exist, I sincerely doubt those lifeforms have come anywhere near Earth.

As compelling as those are, Expanding Universe Theory makes it incredibly difficult for anything to travel between solar systems. Although if those aliens were inside the heliopause, it might be possible.

There is a better chance than you might think, actually! Astrobiology is the given name to the fairly new study of extraterrestrial life and contains some mind blowing ideas, such as clinging ecosystems below the ice on the Jovian moon Europa, or the idea that life on Earth is a direct result from life on Mars.
