I love this place, the people, the fun…and feeling like I belong in this community. Now I need this community to help me.
A couple of days ago someone came into my DMs for harmless conversation…this quickly turned very dark and nasty. I was threatened and blackmailed - they were going to spread all over the internet how much of a dirty slut I am, doctored screenshots as their proof. They were blackmailing me to send them nude photos in exchange for being left alone. They harassed me from multiple accounts.
What made this whole ordeal worse for me (and possibly why I acted differently to others who may have just ignored the threats) is that as a young teenager I was groomed and abused online over a 2 year period. This brought back horrific memories for me and left me absolutely terrified. I stupidly tried to reason with the troll who used my trauma to laugh at me and mock me.
I took a break as this place was no longer safe to me, it was tainted with my trauma and I was fearful of who is hiding in the shadows. I can’t thank Nuno enough for acting quickly and helping to take care of the problem, and my friends for their continued support.
I don’t want this evil bastard to drive me away from a place I love. He can only win and have power over me if I let him…but I need your help.
Please if anyone sees any posts, photos or screenshots targeting me just flag and report them. If it happens in DMs do the same thing.

We don't know each other but we probably have crossed paths on some mutual friend's posts. And if you're friends with them I know you have real worth and value.
I'm sorry for what happened to you and I can't imagine what you must have gone through or are going through. I tend to stay away from drama and normally stick to my tiny circle so I'm always shocked by things I hear from friends.
I know many people are leaving here because of the drama and other stuff and if you feel the need to do so yourself then it is understandable. You seen to have a wonderful group of people who support you and I'll keep an eye out too. Any friend of a friend is awesome in my eyes.
Stay safe in the meantime. I know there are still good people here but always be on the lookout.

I'm so sorry and sad to learn about this. I'm proud of you speaking up and I'm pleased @Nuno was quick to help you out. I had the same experience years back. No one should be able to try force you out of here, or blackmail you. Stay strong, and know you can always message me if you need support, or just ears listening you.

Wth with these mouth breathers… You prolly have reported them already to the admins, if not please do. I’ve known someone from EP who was victimized like that and threaten to show their nude pics for everyone to see. So please people, be cautious when it comes to people here. It’s sad but most people here, (imo) can’t be trusted. I guess we can be friendly but set some boundaries.

I doubt there's anything to worry about in messages unless you think they can hack your personal info. Last weirdo in message I called 'her' out (some people claim it wasn't an actual female ... idk)
She blocked me as soon as I called her out on the open board and a couple hours later they were kicked off

@Disney people can create screenshots and images to be as humiliating or incriminating as they want them to be…this was a real shock to me. I just hope enough people have got to know me that they would see through anything like that

This site brings out the twisted and malicious side of a lot of people with it being so anonymous. That’s why I’m always wary and suspicious of a lot of users on here unless I've gotten really close to them. A lot of users will do stuff like this, and then pretend to be a friend on a more well known account. It’s really creepy and gross. I’m sorry you had to experience something like that and it triggered a past trauma you struggle with.

I think the best thing I could offer you is intel....links where, you can both take and make your case to cyber professionals. I did a cursory look on yer behalf and, after looking at a few websites, I decided on this. And, I would tell you upfront that, I'm looking for contact information that looks legit so, my hope is that this steers you in the correct direction.
And look, life is not about where we were, it's about how we have learned and evolved in to who we are and wish to become. You're not unique in this dilemma, you're but a victim that have had this befall any number of thousands. We're all born, we learn, we grow, mature, and learn some more. It's the process of life Sophie...for everyone.

It is horrible to hear your story. Share the person's name on here and I can guarantee the real men of this place will bombard the administrators with messages that we do not want anyone on here subjected to that behaviour or who would subject anyone to that behaviour!
@SW-User Ah, I was only suggesting reporting to the administrators. Not a general attack on an individual. I agree with you, vigilantism is no good no matter how justified people feel, they do not have all the evidence. However, the administrators would be able to look at all the evidence and judge an appropriate response.

@SW-User If I'm honest, I felt that something was off about it. I admit that I don't know you all that well and I didn't know what was going on at that time - but there was certainly something that seemed fishy about it... even if I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was.
The allegations just seemed to be too far "out there" compared to what I had seen you post prior to that happening. For a start off, I don't ever recall you posting in any of the groups associated with such humiliation or anything like that.
