The Atheists should try forgiveness and see how itakes them feel

Those that believe in Christian mercy, love and eternal life may have a monopoly on heaven and salvation but we don't necessarily have a monopoly on the concept of forgiving those that have trespassed against us.

Atheists, next time someone wrongs you, instead of responding with spite and malice and becoming fixated on revenge, try instead to forgive the person who wronged you. Try and turn your mind to more pleasant things. Becoming obsessed with revenge will make you look older (because of stress hormones) and you will be emotionally unbalanced. But if you can forgive someone, you will find a measure of piece that might over time grow and change you as a person in a positive way that you may find surprising.

Nice thought, unfortunitly, both some athiests here and some claiming Christianty are more intrested in arguing thier point than being a kind person.

@Justmeraeagain Do you distinguish between arguing and debating?
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Entwistle Debating comes to a standstill, eventually, with each party agreeing to disagree or with one party adapting or recanting previously held ideas. Arguing never comes to an end with each person forever trying to get another person to change thier mind even when it's clear they are not going to and leads to strife, frustration, and anger.

@Justmeraeagain No,arguing does come to an end. As does debating.

@Entwistle Only if one has courage and integerity to walk away.Otherwise there would not be 3 day posts with both parties spouting off the same ideas even when they realize the other person disagrees.

The argument, according to the standard dictionary, is defined as ' a disagreement or quarrel...a debate is the exchange of ideas where one may or may not adopt the other debators ideas.

@Justmeraeagain No,all arguments and debates come to an end. No exceptions to that fact.
