@Pat999 Thanks

JesseInTX · 51-55, M Best Comment
Keep it elevated and ice 20 mins on 20 minutes off. If you can sleep with it elevated that would be best too.
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@JesseInTX I know. I’m going to book a docs appointment for this week and stay in resting it while I wait. I just couldn’t stand looking at the tufts of cat fur all over the carpet 🤣
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Incognitochick I hope you can see the doctor and maybe get an MRI to see what damage may be there.
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@JesseInTX fingers crossed

R rest- stay off of it. Crutches!
I ice- I kept cold packs on mine for several hours after an initial injury
C compression. forces the swelling (fluid) out , aids in faster recovery. Ace wrap it
E elevation. Helps get the excess fluid out of the knee joint compartment and
into the lymphatics.

Do this for about 7 days depending on the severity of the injury. Tumeric helps with the swelling too.
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@TexChik thank you. I have turmeric most days anyway but will do the rest too. Need to be up and on it by Tuesday so wish me speedy luck!
TexChik · F
@Incognitochick good luck ! 😊
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@TexChik thanks
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
Think it might be fluid. Very sore, I’ve never had it before.
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
@Incognitochick I can tell you I was in a pretty severe auto accident in my twenties where my knee pounded the column underneath the dashboard. There was lots of inflammation (redness) which indicated fluid inside, and the therapy sessions included this hot wax treatment that felt ohhh so good! Little by little the pain went away completely. The only thing they didn’t do was shave my legs. 🤭🤭
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@Ambroseguy80 😆 Well if it helps I'll give it a try!
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
@Incognitochick good luck. 👍🏻

Incognitochick · 46-50, F

@Incognitochick Damn I'm too late! 😂
Stephanidunord · 18-21, F
Sounds like an hyperextention of the knee . Try not to put weight on it and you might need cruches for 2-3 weeks
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@Stephanidunord yikes. That sounds difficult to manage with work and stuff. But I’ll rest it and ice over the weekend. Might have to resort to that if not. Thank you
bearinthehalfwayhouse · 26-30, M
I'd like to know too, my knee has been dying since I was 16. :C
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@bearinthehalfwayhouse fingers crossed

Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@Slickmel I’ll try a few home remedies first but thanks. Will go to the doc if no improvement
Slickmel · 100+, M
@Incognitochick try ice pack
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@Slickmel will do. Thanks again
TexChik · F
How is that going for you?
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@TexChik Getting back to ok. I fucked it up by vacuuming on Sunday when I thought it was better. So had 2 days ice and rest again. But today seems better again, it's still a little puffy looking but I can put weight on it. Perfect timing as I'm off to the pub in a few hours. I'll cab it there and back to be on the safe side 😆

Thanks for asking!
SW-User
