Keep it elevated and ice 20 mins on 20 minutes off. If you can sleep with it elevated that would be best too.

@JesseInTX thanks. I’ll throw a few pillows under it for now and ice in the morning. It’s been a few days and really awkward

@Incognitochick you’re welcome. I’ve torn my ACL, MCL and many sprains as well. Unfortunately I’m used to this.

@JesseInTX sounds awful. I hope you’re ok now. Do I elevate under the knee or at the ankle?
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Incognitochick I’m all good now. All the tears happened over 10 years ago and not all at the same time. Last sprain was about 3 years ago. If you can elevate from the top of the knee to the ankle. Basically the whole shin.

@JesseInTX most welcome

Did it help at all @Incognitochick?
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@JesseInTX hey there. It’s much better today thank you. Still not close to 100% but more manageable. I’ll stick to this routine for the next few days. Although it’s hard, the weather is lovely out and lockdown eased so staying in treating my knee is not appealing 🤣

@Incognitochick yes it takes a few days for the swelling to go completely down depending on the severity. It’s not comfortable I know but it’s really all you can do. Hopefully you can get out and enjoy some living soon!

@JesseInTX I made the mistake of hoovering. Back to square 1 for me 😖 I’m such an idiot
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
Awww damn! Probably need to go real easy for at least a week @Incognitochick
Incognitochick · 46-50, F
@JesseInTX I know. I’m going to book a docs appointment for this week and stay in resting it while I wait. I just couldn’t stand looking at the tufts of cat fur all over the carpet 🤣

@Incognitochick I hope you can see the doctor and maybe get an MRI to see what damage may be there.

@JesseInTX fingers crossed
