Not really but I sheltered my mind and put on blinkers in certain aspects of my life

In ways, socially.
I was grounded so often that most of my interactions with others were at school in junior high and high school.
So I feel I'm pretty socially stunted.

Naive, yes...sheltered, no. 😔

our parents kind of protected our naivety/unworldliness .. till they couldn't anymore
we were raised with a sense of higher thinking
not indulging in unhealthy earthly pleasures lol
I think we all have amazing self-control because of how we were raised
you know teaching us we are responsible for a certain outcome
what we do will either help or hurt in the long run
so we were set on course to live a happy life

Yep. I still am. It greatly affects me. I can't make decisions and I can't trust myself. I second guess everything I do and say and I seek approval for everything. I can't take risks and I can't basically even breathe.

Nope. I was fairly "free range" as long as I observed a limited set of rules.

I was relatively sheltered. I was able to grow quickly once I left home for college though.
