when somebody say whatever it means they not really caring

Aidan · 26-30
I hate 'K' with a passion. Like you can’t even type okay?
Alifeinterrupted · 26-30, F
@Aidan me too!!!! It gets me all the dang time
JRVanguard · 26-30, M
I really don’t like hmmmmm
It’s very judgy/accusing
JRVanguard · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard I think context is important
I had a falling out with a friend and that was what they wrote to me before it in an accusing way so that’s how I see it by default now
@JRVanguard Context is everything. Otherwise it’s just... meh.

"K" is the worst. Shows completely indifference and disregard. I'm done with someone if they're responding with "k". But honestly any short response to something longer and more well-thought out is a sign they're not interested in you.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
K, because it just seems lazy.
Starchild1983 · 41-45, F
I answer with all of those but “k” lol 😬
Adogslife · 61-69, M
K. My daughter uses it when she texts me and I’ve never had the heart to tell her I can’t stand it.

It’s just a sloppy, lazy use of the language.
UnlikeableAndy · 36-40, M
Hmm. It’s like , I won’t tell you what I am really thinking, so you can make up and theorize what I might really mean
SarahAndSamantha · 46-50, F
"K". I don't mind it if it's really all that's necessary (I'll be there in 5 minutes.) But just about anything else, screw you
I say “hmmmm” when I’m intrigued and “awwww” at something I find adorable. “Lol” when I’m amused. I’ve said “mmmkay” when I’m annoyed, but rarely “whatever”—that I do consider dismissive.
@bijouxbroussard I can’t see you just typing “K,” though. Strikes me as you feeling like that’s just kinda lazy.

None of those.
Maybe " Huh" after I've been explaining something important for 5 minutes.
