Would you make friends with the monsters in your life?

I think they call that shadow work. Accepting the parts of you that you don't particularly like or want to admit to. If you don't do that then you never really know yourself and tend to judge others who demonstrate the things that you are trying to hide in yourself.

The monsters in my life are within me and yes I certainly made friends with them. They were only so monstrous because I didn't see them.

Yes. I accept them... and it's a friendship like no other.

The ones in my head are much worse. We became friends many years ago.

not with the one who recently moved to Florida

Definitely, if they are living in my house, I know they are intrinsically good. Maybe they have a few flaws. That just means I can relate to them.

Friends, no. But we’re well adjusted to being roommates after this many decades together.
