Do you have days where you feel like you're just going on and on and on like an energised bunny and don't know how to stop?

How do you stop?

Most of us need a major boost in the mornings just to get going. We load ourselves up with coffee or tea, and we don't stop till around noon. I used to know a woman who bought coffee in Big Gulp sized cups, and drank coffee till 2 p.m. just to perform.

We've all seen people who definitely need to STOP drinking so much coffee, in RL or on television, because they are so hyped up, talk non-stop, and are super irritable. You want to go right through the television screen at times and yell, "Hands up! Put the coffee down!!!"

On a more personal note, I can definitely relate. I enjoy doing genealogy as a form of work and hobby combined, and there are times when I can't seem to stop.

I get that way when I am cooking, or when I am doing anything I really enjoy. I stop when I am exhausted. When my eyes get blurry, or when I start making mistakes. Major backaches when I am cooking, also, will stop me in my tracks.

@Stereoguy Once you force yourself into the shower, you will wake up...but this state of exhaustion is your body starving itself. It will slow down your metabolic rate if you don't eat.

Stop taking Meth.
@SW-User Yes indeed! Last night I dreamt I was a dentist and you were my Buddhist patient and you refused Novocain during treatment!

It appears you wanted to transcend dental medication.
SW-User
@Majorlatency 🤣 I probably made you have someone sit there with singing bowls, to elevate my pain threshold.
@SW-User I first read that as singing bowels! What a novel idea! On quiet winter nights we could harmonize by the log fire! 😍
SW-User
I like those cause feel really productive and do lots of things.
In my case I know it'll stop cause often don't have much energy...so those days are welcome
SW-User
@SW-User Why don't you have much energy?
Branchess · 31-35, F
I’ll have what you’re having...please? Hehe. Pass on the caffeine though..
SW-User
@Branchess I'm seriously not on anything, not even caffeine. 🤣 Maybe I am high on myself.😋

@SW-User Yass gurl!
Not these days....the exact opposite
SW-User
@TheSirfurryanimalWales You miss those days of being super energised?
@SW-User yep.....eleven months of lockdown does that to you.
SW-User
@TheSirfurryanimalWales Yeah, it sucks. Sorry to hear that.
I think the semester ahead could make that necessary
SW-User
@BeefySenpie Yeah, lol you might need it even.
Body sends red flags.

Your turn?
SW-User
@sspec My body sends red flags too, but sometimes that is also hard to listen to. But I am now calm.

Battery Bunny syndrome.

Yep.
SW-User
@Picklebobble2 Thats a thing?!
Picklebobble2 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Unofficial term used in psychological workers circles to describe people 'acting on autopilot'.

Going through the motions with no emotional atatchment.
SW-User
@Picklebobble2 I learned something new today. Or at least something I forgot I knew. I am having a strange feeling that you've told me this before.
Never had that.

I cut off my coffee😑 and use The Relaxation Response which i a sort of demystified TM;also I channel my energy into my "too do" list
SW-User
@bookerdana I have been on decaf coffee since 2- 3 years now. Can't remember. So definitely nothing external is causing this.
I've been working on my to do and I thought I'd come here for a quick break. I'm still ....on high energy.
bookerdana · M
@SW-User Oh ,I thought the question was how do I stop🤓

you could take your bike out
SW-User
@bookerdana Yeah it is how do I stop.

Right, I'm off.

Toodles.
