I’ll still go out. I really don’t care who gets the vaccine.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@Niburu Do you know how to fly a plane? But you fly anyway right? It is about trusting. You may have trust issues. Look into that.
Niburu · 51-55, M
@Londonn That analogy doesn't work, I do know how and why aircraft work however. The issue isn't over trust, it's about you making false assumptions about how vaccines work.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@Niburu It works perfectly. Professionals fly the plane and you fly sleeping. Doctors tell you to get to vaccine but you are making false assumptions about how vaccines work. Is there one doctor in the world who say don't get the vaccine, I wonder.

@SW-User Ok poor you. You know the covid will be heavy for you, right? Good luck

People have been isolating for almost a year. People have been taking responsibility and preventing the spread as well as taking appropriate nutrition and supplementation.

Unfortunately London has airports where people have been coming from covid hotspots and using taxis and public transport for the last year with government non intervention.

The vaccine is a false God. It is one of many things that can help.It is not the be all and end all.
@Londonn The airports are still open. Since last March there was no social distancing at London airports and no enforcement and travellers from covid hotspots were travelling and using all forms of transport.
The schools have been a driver for months I agree.

It is only in the last few days that a negative test has been insisted on.

Government and advisers have been breaking rules and spreading😮
Londonn · 36-40, M
@mantra Yes because it is a national lockdown. Before that there were travel corridors, obligatory self quarantines and all. You sound like tourists flowing London everyday filling it up. It is a just a guess. This place looked like 28 days later movie for a long time. Only people started to go out much and virus broke again.
@Londonn @Londonn London Heathrow had no social distancing and no enforcement and all those entering filled taxis, tubes and buses
people who eat hot dogs and chicken nuggets are the same ones who say they won't take the vaccine because they don't know what's in it
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Free frankfurters and chicken nuggets this way!! Just take this shot and hit the buffet!😂😂@saragoodtimes
Earthwrap · 41-45, M
@saragoodtimes That's a nice blanket that shows absolutly no intelligence. Similar to statments using stereotypes.
I havent gotten it- i still go outside.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@BettyBeez ok then that makes sense
Londonn · 36-40, M
@Iwillwait conspiracy. Vaccines swept clean many viruses from the surface of the earth.
@Iwillwait That’s its purpose—like with the polio vaccine.
The two vaccines have eliminated polio from most of the world,[3][4] and reduced the number of cases reported each year from an estimated 350,000 in 1988 to 33 in 2018.[5][6]
Neither can cure a person once they’ve caught the disease.
KuroNeko · 41-45, F
I guess it depends if they restrict movement of people who refuse to get vaccinated. They may not be able to travel abroad or do certain jobs.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
why worry about it if you are protected?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Londonn about who or who doesn’t have the vaccine if you already have it.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@cherokeepatti ah ok, make sense if you already get the virus and survived.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@LondonnI think that's what I had in January and I survived OK.
SW-User
The vaccine isn't meant to keep you alive (unless you are older or have comorbidities). Most people live after contracting COVID-19 (or variants).

The vaccine is meant to minimize the outbreaks. If you can't get COVID-19, you can't spread it to many other individuals. If most of the population have immunity (through the vaccine or having COVID), then outbreaks are less likely.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@SW-User oh ok then you rely others to have the vacc or have the virus. cool.
SW-User
@SW-User I'll get the vaccine whenever but it's not because I might die if I don't.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
People can still social distance, wear masks and wash their hands.

Let people who are high risk take the vaccine first.

I'd rather wait 3-5 years before I take it to ensure there are no unexpected side effects.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@SumKindaMunster 5 years.. is it calculated? Like I am 60 now better I have it like idea?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Londonn No, it just gives me time to ensure that there aren't any immediate significant side effects from the vaccine, plus it gets the riff raff out of the way, and allows the government and health care organizations to get their shit together on distributing these vaccines. Right now, it's a complete mess.
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
already had covid, was over it in just a few days (symptoms were no more than that of a mild cold/fever), have been exposed to it countless times since with no problems. Most of family has had it as well, young and elderly alike.

people who stay in hvac filtered buildings all day, get flu shots/vaccines all the time, go to the doctor for a simple cold instead of letting their immune system work, etc. are the ones in danger of being confined...
Londonn · 36-40, M
@wildbill83 well good for you, you had good genes. Not many are lucky as you.
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@Londonn it's not just genes; many of the ailments, allergies, etc. people experience today were unheard of before the advent of synthetic pharmaceuticals... coincidence? 🤔
Londonn · 36-40, M
@wildbill83 Generalization. Here is a better one:
People who are above 60 are effected the most, probably it is age related. Coincidence? 🤔
Earthwrap · 41-45, M
Turker, Based on your post and comments you are an uneducated extremist that thinks he is educated. You should rethink your situation and surround yourself with some intellgent people that can use reason about various situations, circumstances and conditions instead of debating with more uneducated paranoid extremists online.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@Earthwrap Lol. You need my CV to apply your conscious and logic?
Earthwrap · 41-45, M
@Londonn No I don't. I work in science and I know lots of scientists that are just as much a fool as you. "D's get degrees too."
Londonn · 36-40, M
@Earthwrap lol ok you need my CV to see some A's? How about the scientists who discover the vaccine? Do you want their CV )s to get the vaccince? Or are they fools as well?
Mindful · 56-60, F
I think everyone has a right to decide for themselves whether to get a vaccine.
curiosi · 61-69, F
We go out now.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@curiosi well good luck people trying to save your life instead of you
BlueRain · F
@curiosi me too
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Well, we can easily shoot these bastards once they come outside
Londonn · 36-40, M
@nedkelly oh come on man
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Let me pick the vials of the vaccine and the medical person and witness 535 members of Congress getting it first
Londonn · 36-40, M
@MarineBob The queen here got it today.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@Londonn but she's older than dirt
Londonn · 36-40, M
@MarineBob it was her turn.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
I don't think that's the thinking.. it's more along the lines that they don't believe the vaccine is effective and believe further that this is not a good way to get immunity. They believe that the mix of ingredients/chemicals and carrier mediums are dangerous and do more harm than good.. And they believe that the best immunity is a good natural immune system.. and that they, having that already would not be someone who would get ill anyway but would shrug off COVID without many symptoms.. so no, not relying on others or staying home..
But you also get the paranoid conspiracy theorists who are anti vaccination and they don't think deeply, they just believe that the vaccine will turn them into mindless zombies under the control of the state.. little do they know they are already mindless zombies :P
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@Londonn the mindless zombies? Yea probably!
@Londonn Now you show your colours. I hope you don't get ill
Londonn · 36-40, M
@mantra Thank you, I hope not.
bookerdana · M
I think many are waiting to see if the vaccine cause you to grow two heads
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Londonn agreed that is freedom of choice for you if they want to not have the vaccine and think they will never get corona virus they are more foolish than i thought but that is for them to decide i guess
ArtieKat · M
@smiler2012 Although vaccination in the UK will probably never be mandatory I fully expect sensitive businesses like large venues, airlines etc to insist on proof of vaccination to gain entry.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@ArtieKat would be a good call i suppose
SW-User
I'm way down the list to get it, and don't know if I can yet cos allergies. Id get it if I can. Also want immunity one, because I'm the only one in the house that doesn't seem to have had it
SW-User
@SW-User I think the precautionary advice for people with allergies has been modified.

Current advice is:

Anyone with a previous history of allergic reactions to the ingredients of the vaccine should not receive it, but those with any other allergies such as a food allergy can now have the vaccine.
InvictusIndigo · 22-25, M
I'm just nervous about getting the vaccine and am waiting to see how it affects the bodies of those it has been administered to
Londonn · 36-40, M
@InvictusIndigo what if you were 80 and it was your only chance to survive. Cuz your grandpa thinks like this.
InvictusIndigo · 22-25, M
@Londonn That I understand that completely and don't disagree with you. Not that I'm never going to get the vaccine, I'm just waiting to see the possible side effects for people to weigh my options. I truly do care for the safety and wellbeing of others, especially those more susceptible to COVID.
MURD3RM0NK3Y · 26-30, M
I mean I guess if I have to I'll get it but I don't really feel like I should
Londonn · 36-40, M
@MURD3RM0NK3Y You dont need it, but +60 depends on you to have it. Here it was almost pronounced like "ok I'm gonna save your mom". It was on LBC
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
I'm guessing their optimism bias is making them believe they won't get COVID or that it's nothing to worry about. Regardless, once most of us are vaccinated, they'll only really be a threat to themselves.
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@Londonn That's why they'll be first in line for the vaccines. Still, you can't force people to care.

The people up in arms about COVID restrictions or vaccines genuinely don't care about other people and that's a sad reality of life. We can't expect everyone to do their part to help society
Londonn · 36-40, M
@KrackerBash yep, the right order. 1.5million 25% of them are done here.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@TinyViolins you sound like my father who hates to wear seatbelt.
dale74 · M
Well I now know two people who have died just after getting the shot

Londonn · 36-40, M
@SW-User I think they are well willing to. They will keep wearing masks, and keep lockong them down. And until on day they are happy to see nobody dies from the side effects they will secretly go and get the vaccine.
We dont trust everyone else in the first place. 😒
Entwistle · 56-60, M
They are fools.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
I wonder if those who won't take the vaccine for covid would take the vaccine for smallpox etc if they had the option?
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
I think concern about side effects is the main issue.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@BackyardShaman Did you ever get viagra? I'm curious.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
No never tried it@Londonn
I wouldn’t worry about it. Most people will get it.
They think it's a hoax.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@canusernamebemyusername I would expect teens to say I wont have it because they really dont need it.
The latter, although it only makes sense for those with compromised immune systems,ie. cancer survivors, etc. Not people who are just selfish or afraid.
Londonn · 36-40, M
@bijouxbroussard Isnt it a little bit selfish?

@RogueLoner we know people who have died and COVID is not attached to the death, just sayin’. Hate to sound gross but if you feel there’s that much conspiracy I think you should maybe go check some morgue reports? I’m not saying that some people don’t do bad deeds, but most people are good and decent .

@RogueLoner I dont know where 422 comes from but 100s are dying in London everyday. Also you gotta look at the +60 figure not whole population.
