@Dewms No. We don't smell like maple syrup. I don' t like it even. Nor does our money smell. It is rather colourful.

i can go to the hospital, see a doctor, then get an operation and never even know what it cost. but when i go home, if I have prescription, I will have to pay for that but the price is less, the government pays part of it.

OHIP. You get free treatment in hospital if you need it. You have to pay out of pocket for meds unless you have a drug plan through your job.

Not strictly speaking, no. The money is deducted in taxes.
Like us in Oz, they pay through taxes...it is a good system..
