Do you prefer males or females as a friend ?

Both. I just want them to be a good friend. Don't matter what their gender is.

I prefer both. It's cool to have guy friends.

No preference, though I've always seemed to get on better with females. Life in the friend zone! Hehe.

Don't have a preference, but my two closest friends are both women.

It has a lot less to do with gender and a lot more to do with how well we connect and what we enjoy. Friends are easier to keep if you like doing the similar things, or you have shared interests. Though it is tough to have friends of the other sex when you start in relationships because it can make people feel pretty insecure.

Women usually. I've had some great male friends, but I figured out a long time ago that I connect with women a lot more readily than I connect with men.

I've never had a male friend in real, so it would be lovely to have one or two platonic male friends.
