What do you dread/fear most about getting older?

There's actually not a single thing to like about getting older. I guess I fear never living while I had the chance. Wasting my youth.

Ending up in a horrible nursing home. Ever since I saw that one Moby music video with the elderly in the nursing home being miserable and confined to their last days in their wheelchairs and that God forsaken facility made me want to rail against death. I realize not all nursing homes are that way but the sad truth is when you don't have money to end up in a nice facility you get that... It's not something I think about often. Luckily I know the soul is eternal and my physical aspect won't prevent my afterlife. So there, fear not and go on. Live and let live. Even after this life...

You wake up tomorrow and you are older. Do you hold yourself back knowing this?

About getting very old, I fear forgetting, totally grey hair, and being unable to live independently in my own home. I also fear losing loved ones. Nothing else do I fear. What would you fear, young lady?

Everything changing around me and yet me staying relatively the same

Loneliness. I do not fear it. I live it.

It means my parents get older & closer to dying & that really doesn't sit well with me. When i see the wrinkles on their face & their aging skin, it hurts me.
