Why do people say it’s cute when a short person and mad but scary when a tall person is angry?

Are we that intimidating?
When one of my friends gets pissed, some guys find her cute. She’s 4’11”, slim and petite built, but when I’m pissed off, they get scared or back off. I’m 5’10 and large built (251lbs)

There is an old saying that I heard as kid that goes, "It's not size of the dog in the fire, but the size of the fire in the dog"...if you get what I am saying.
