Pedophiles have become a "protected class" to some people, the same way homosexuals have. "They're regular people just like us, they just are different." Which I think is unacceptable.

@cherokeepatti: I'm one of the lucky ones. I owe my life to Australian humanitarian efforts.

@BlueMetalChick: I applaud you for having the guts to do all that to get an education. You are your own hero.

NAMBLA organization has been active for a long time in the USA, it is an alliance promoting legalization of adults to have sex with children...their motto is "Sex by age 8 or it's too late." Head it discussed in the local news way back in the early 80's, and I found a book they donated to the local library. The book was supposed to explain sex but the final chapter gave "examples" of young children engaging in sex with one another, such as 6-year olds...I was thinking they were probably children of prostitutes and watched them or their brothers or sisters having sex and were encouraged by them...the book didn't go into any type of detail how those children learned to do such things at a tender age. This organization has doctors, lawyers and other professionals as members in it, probably some of the same ones who are into organzied pedophile rings. I've read that they are laying low and have been for awhile and flying under the radar to avoid getting in trouble with law enforcement.

How is this tolerated?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Melanzane: I don't know how it was ever tolerated. At one time they were "campaigning" to get sex offenders released from prison if they were in prison for seducing a child (versus forcible rape at least in their minds)...nowadays most states have sex offender registries and in my state they can't live near a school, church, daycare center or park (places where children frequent)...employers also can run background checks and see if they have offenses or are on a sex offender registry. Of course they think it's terribly unfair to be so limited in where they can live and work but oh well they made their problem now they can live with the consequences.

im sure there is a whole bunch of unemployed hairy arm pit uni grads burning flags for the cause...
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: we're not supposed to use the sex offender registry website to harass the sex offenders. But it wouldn't break my heart if that happened to them here...they are despised by most of the people here. They were the ones that survived prison and didn't get beaten to death by other prisoners, that can be pretty common in my state.

@cherokeepatti: oh yeah.. them long term prisoners do love the peados ..
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: There was a preacher who went to prison here that was convicted of molesting little girls, he didn't survive long in prison, they killed him.
