Would you rather live in Africa or the middle east?
Both places seem to be horrible places to live. I guess I'd live in Africa if I had to pick.

That entirely depends on where in Africa and the middle East.
Not all places are the same in terms of security and overall life quality.
In fact, as an African and someone who's been in the Middle East very frequently, I can tell you many live better lives than many of the westerners I know.

@CountScrofula Yeah, poverty , injustice and suffering can be a problem anywhere.
I don't know but I feel like the third world is used by many like a distraction..Look at these pics of starving kids in africa, they are worse off and therefore you should believe you have all your rights and never aspire for better.

@Miram Yeah it's a smoke screen. There are 100 communities without drinking water in Canada alone. It's not a zero-sum game where all places are equal, but the idea that "western" nations are a paradise and the rest of the world has people squatting in huts is a racist fantasy with no basis in reality.
