I 100% support that!

Are you going to pay for it?
@Invisible: No. We'll raise Donald Trump's taxes to pay for it. He has skipped paying for 20 years. It's time for him to settle up.

@Invisible: Morocco has free college education for everyone who passes an entrance test in high school. They can even get a PhD if they qualify for it. But that doesn't guarantee the jobs will be there for them in Morocco, there are demonstrations every day and evening in the capitol city, I've been there and seen the police running the hundreds of demonstrators down and hitting them with billy clubs.
@Invisible: there's actually several colleges who offer free tution for all their students. There's not many but there are some and it is possible. I've been doing research on a few since I can't afford an education.

The government doesn't have any money and there's nobody you can force to pay for your stuff. College is unreasonably expensive and is already causing a lot of financial grief to many millions of families who can't afford not to have their kids get a degree. If anything, the higher education system is what needs reform, not the government.
@Invisible: I know about the high cost of education. I'm in student loan debt, to the tune of $150k.

In the US, college can't be free. The only reason countries like Germany and Morocco are able to offer free education is to attract the necessary younger population that can pay lots of taxes and keep the large older generation afloat.

@Maverick1962: So why on earth would you want to force that on everyone else? 😅
@Invisible: there are colleges in america that are free tho?
@Invisible: California offered free tuition for instate students, back in the day or so that is my understanding. But no longer. If the US didn't have such a high national debt, then perhaps universal free education would be doable. But I don't see it happening.

@Invisible: They can't pay taxes if they don't find a job, there is a large percentage of the young people in Morocco living at home with parents because they can't find jobs. Some people make small businesses selling stuff or whatever they can do. Good jobs with benefits are hard to find and there are so many corrupt bosses who will withhold pay for months till the workers give up and quit. And the free education doesn't include a dorm room with meals...they offer a very cheap lunch to students but not free. Many of the students either live with relatives while going to college or work a part-time job to pay for a cheap room without ameneties that Americans would require.
