If you could change anything in your country's education system, what would it be?

Free college education for every citizen.
@Invisible: there are colleges in america that are free tho?
@Invisible: California offered free tuition for instate students, back in the day or so that is my understanding. But no longer. If the US didn't have such a high national debt, then perhaps universal free education would be doable. But I don't see it happening.

@Invisible: They can't pay taxes if they don't find a job, there is a large percentage of the young people in Morocco living at home with parents because they can't find jobs. Some people make small businesses selling stuff or whatever they can do. Good jobs with benefits are hard to find and there are so many corrupt bosses who will withhold pay for months till the workers give up and quit. And the free education doesn't include a dorm room with meals...they offer a very cheap lunch to students but not free. Many of the students either live with relatives while going to college or work a part-time job to pay for a cheap room without ameneties that Americans would require.
There would be more emphasis on volunteering, job shadowing, and exploring the actual work world.

@cherryxblossom: I guess the world is teaching us in a wrong way
@Alex1610: i agree. we do learn so many useless things.
@cherryxblossom: and that's true. That has happened so much. Many people go into majors not expecting it to be the way it is and waste so much time preparing for something they soon find out they don't want to do. Internships help a bit with that but they can be difficult to get.

Less standardized, more specialized. Less compulsory material, more electives. Better teaching standards would be nice, but that's not really feasible.
The students, they need to pay attention in class.😒

@lovelldo: Teachers in some schools are spending more time filling out forms for violations of rules than they do teaching, anything sexually related requires a lengthy form and explanation, even if the student says to the teacher "F*** You"...Knew someone who had worked in an inner city school and he was constantly frustrated with what was going on.
Yes!

Teach critical thinking and focus on the basics instead of the other stuff that takes time out of the week....

Forget that Common Core crap. I guess they learned nothing from the "New Math" movement of the 60s and all its "Base Six crap" :P
