Depends on the problem. I have done so many times. Yet there are certain problems you just can't be prepared for. Especially if it's a company car!!!

An old pre-ECU car I could fix most things on. My current car I could fix basic stuff...change a flat or whatever, but otherwise I have AAA for that.
lou502008 · 61-69, M
of course...AAA is a wonderful thing to have!

@Steveinlandsea someone has to dial the 800 number!!!
with all the electronic sensors in todays cars, you need a degree to open the hood!

@lou502008 what if there is no cell service? and you are all on your own?
lou502008 · 61-69, M
@Steveinlandsea "Can you hear me now?" has cell service everywhere...15 years with them and not 1 dropped call or connection issues. Regular preventative maintenance diminishes the odds of a break down...by the way, i can change a flat!😉

Well it depends, not every problem is the same. One time I had to fasten some bolts in someone's car but I wasn't on my own anyway.

Flat tire, yeah I’ve changed those. But other types doubtful. I’d call someone or a tow truck.

I don't have a car, but I'm quite good at repairing my Piaggio Vespa. I'm a born mechanic! 😁
sexytannedgirl · 26-30, F
Change a wheel yes but anything else I would have to phone the breakdown service.

If it’s not a flat tire, I’m calling for help.

I have up to now.
Foxyfoxfox · 51-55, F
I just had to do that recently. It was a little rattling but I did it and got thru it. Had to have it towed and shit
Steveinlandsea · 51-55, M
@Foxyfoxfox my company car quit on the way to work today, miles from anywhere. I used an old soad can I found to get it going again.
Foxyfoxfox · 51-55, F
@Steveinlandsea ugh! So frustrating, but you just do what you have to to get going. Good job! What did you do with the can?
