My generation, basically i’d Say 18-25, is full of fake caring activists who don’t do anything put post things on social media.

That's called slacktivism, and it has both good and bad qualities. It's not exclusive to one generation over another, and is present with the emergence of social media. It doesn't mean that someone doesn't care about something, just that there's far less investment to be made through slacktivism, thus an easier channel to use.
